Holy Communion
Holy Communion, or the Eucharist, is the "source and summit" of the Catholic faith, forgives venial sins and preserves the sanctifying grace of the soul. Catholics are encouraged to receive Holy Communion frequently, even daily and must receive Holy Communion at least once a year during the Easter season.
The Assumption Church offers First Holy Communion preparation through the faith formation program. 1st Holy Communion generally takes place during the 2nd grade year of Faith Formation classes.
