Mass Intentions

Offering a Mass for a special intention is a long-standing tradition in the Catholic Church. It is usually considered that special graces are obtained for whom the Mass is said. Masses are offered for many reasons; for the souls in purgatory or in remembrance for someone who is deceased, or someone who is ill or having a special occasion.

If you would like to have a Mass said for someone, please fill out the form or call the Parish Office and the secretary will help you with the dates and times that are available. Mass Intentions are published weekly in the Sunday bulletin. Mass Intentions are a personal donation, but the suggested amount is $10.

Mass Intentions: The priest and all congregants who participate in Mass are given an infinite amount of sanctifying grace.  That grace can be applied to specific intentions, whether of the priest or the faithful.  The priest will pray especially for your intentions at the Holy Mass during the Intercessory Prayers and/or at the Eucharistic Prayer loudly or silently.  If you would like to have the priest offer a Mass for your intentions, please use the Mass Intention Prayer Request and set on the sacristy counter, drop in the collection basket, mail, or e-mail.

What is a Mass intention?

A Mass intention is a mass that is dedicated to the intentions of the petitioner. These can be for the support of the sick, repose of the soul of a loved one, for thanksgiving, or for special intentions.
